I, for one, had a blast, despite getting trounced and having major back pain. I wasn't really aware of it, but evidently Street Open was fun to watch, with us each taking chunks of time off in turn. I felt as if I didn't leave much out there, but after watching the video, I think I could have found some time with a straighter line coming off the crest off the hill. I don't know if it would have been enough time to catch the top 3 though. Good racing, guys!

My fourth, and fastest, run: 27.576

-Tavis- Competing in The Schwartz this year, '96 BMW 328i #58 GS. Thanks for the co-drive Doug!

A fun course for sure, just one that I couldn't figure out. I drove terribly, and Thomas kicked my butt badly. Either way, it was pretty fun.

As for how I dealt with the hop at the end, the most entertaining way was backwards, but the fastest way in the Miata was more right foot. I never had the stones to do it flat (especially after spinning and hitting a lot of cones early), but apparently Thomas did, and that could be part of why he put 1.3 seconds on me.

    My fast run at a 28.668: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nlj...4uq19K7_V4

My most interesting run (and clearly demonstrating when not to lift going over the bump) : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mYR...4uq19K7_V4

Good racing! Top 4 in street open within 0.3 sec of each other in PAX, top 8 within 0.6. Good thing I didn't put my GoPro on, the extra weight and drag might have dropped me a few positions...

    By staying home.

That bump is very hard to avoid and has broken my car twice, which was two too many times.

I spun the first time - pretty good - I think I was the first of many.

When back in grid someone told me I was doing well, but to put my foot down instead of lift off.  I did and didn't have a problem with it the rest of the day.

yea i never went through it completely flat but one of the bigger advantages to running in the later heat was seeing how all the other cars were dealing with it. i just wish i had that last run….damn rain.
