    So I'm trying to figure out what size and brand and compound tires I should get for my 1990 Miata DP car im building. ANy help and advise is greatly appreciated.

    I currently have a set of 15x8 wheels but am willing to get whatever works the best.

    Most folks in DP use a 13x10 or 15x10 wheel. We have 13s and Hoosier 20x9x13 tires. The guys using 15s are usually running Avons. Most 13s will clear the stock brakes, but check fitment. For autocross you want the car to be in the low to mid 60s mph at the top of second gear so you don't have to shift to third very often. Calculate the speed you'll achieve with tire diameter and your RPM limit.

    Hey Perry, for really nice light weight wheels (either 13's or 15's) I'd call Rich at Bogart. He can build what ever back space you want. For way cheaper but heavier I'd look at Diamond steel wheels.
