For those that haven't run a Match Tour the format is unique and very fun. Things have changed a little format wise since last year to ensure everyone gets at least 6 runs and there is less standing around.
You start out by running a regular event in your class. If you win, you just won a national!!! After that, the class competition is used to seed brackets for head to head knockout competition on index. If you win, you keep running. And running and running and running.
Its a WHOLE lot of fun and way less serious than a typical national event. If you want to go, register soon because the event is in jeopardy of being canceled if it doesn't get 100 entries, and it might not. The Blytheville Pro Solo that was postponed due to weather a couple of weeks ago and the Kentucky Derby are both also that weekend, so this event is fighting an uphill battle for support.
The lot is brand new asphalt and is grippy but smooth and easy on tires. It is at the new National Corvette Museum race track right across from the Museum. Mammoth Cave National Park is 30 minutes up the interstate.
Sign up and make a mini vacation out of it!
