Sad to learn of the passing of a real icon in Autocross history, John Kelly. I met John in 1982 when competing in San Fransisco. One of his publications, the North American Pylon was distributed and read throughout the Country. He was major contributor to the sport, and SCCA, and was certainly the BEST Journalist ever. Thoughts are with wife Pat and the rest of the family. Thank you for sharing him with us. RIP John, you deserve it!

John was a real asset to the sport, especially in the early years.  I was a North American Pylon subscriber for a very long time, right up until it went online.  John will certainly be missed.  Thanks, John (and Pat), for everything.

Absolutely, remember meeting John & Pat at many events, and my subscriptions to North American Pylon.

RIP John, you will be missed!

John and Pat helped build the foundation of Solo. Real assets!
