Negotiations are complete with our two venues,Gateway Motorsports Park (GMP) and St Charles Family Arena (FA),are complete pending contract signings. The dates are firm but the sequence of events may change slightly and is largely dependent on discussions with EVO concerning a school in St Louis this year. Otherwise, the schedule should look as follows:

    Mar 25. TnT. GMP
    Apr 15. Event 1. FA
    Apr 22 Novice school. GMP
    May 20. Event 2. GMP
    Jun 10. Event 3. FA
    Jun 17. EVO ? GMP
    Jul1. Event 4. FA
    Jul 15. Event 5. GMP
    Jul 29. Event 6. GMP
    Aug 19. Event 7. FA
    Sep 30. Event 8. FA
    Oct 14. Event 9. GMP
    Oct 28. Event 10. FA

While we weren't able to get the exact dates we wanted it worked out pretty well in terms of spacing between events and dividing up events between venues. We need both venues so it's imperative to work with them as closely as possible and maintain good relationships. The schedule will be considered official once contracts are signed and it is published on our website. They may be a couple weeks or more. We look forward to a great season but still need volunteers in many key and chief positions. See you in March!

Great job Mikey. I know it's a lot of work, but it is appreciated a great deal.

    Thanks a bunch, with Numerous H's & K's,

    I'm excited about the season!

What is the best way to learn about available volunteer positions? I would like to help out this season, but I'm not sure how to find out what is needed.

    Chris (and everyone else interested!)
Yes, we would love the help! The Solo program is entirely volunteer run, so the more folks willing to chip in and help the better we can hold our events!

Everyone interested in making a difference can reach out to the SAC at teamsolo@stlsolo.org and we'll get you in touch with the chiefs who can use your help!

You can also use that email for any questions or suggestions - but yes, any "why don't we..." thoughts may be met with "great idea, can YOU help?".

Looking forward to a great 2018 season!

Chris,to piggyback on Rob's reply, there are openings or help needed in grid,T&S,equipment and we (badly) need more safety stewards. In some cases you can step in right away and if you think you may want to fill a chief's position you can typically assist for a season or several events before taking over the position. Any help in any capacity is greatly appreciated.

In case you didn't receive the STL SOLO update via email, the schedule is finalized. The only change to what is posted above is that the EVO school will be on July 15 at GMP and will be a Phase 1 school.
