I am sure we ll have seen this site before.....I finally got fed up and mailed the guy. This is what I sent, what are you opinions/coments on my mail?

I will start off by saying that there are very many ridiculous cars (not just Honda’s) on the road. The booming import car scene in the US has showed us some interesting products. There are a lot of cars out there that are billboards with wheels. But you decide to focus on only one side of the spectrum, Honda’s. Unfortunately most of the import gathering is made up of people focused on looking good instead of getting the optimum performance out of their car. It is these people that give the true enthusiasts a bad reputation. I will refrain from using the word rice because the definition is so gray and the word is just so over used. It is real sad that there are people out there like you that throw their opinion around when nobody even cares. Just because you own a Supra it doesn’t make you god. Plus you compare it to a Honda like the two cars are even the same. The two cars are on the opposite sides of the spectrum. One is a somewhat exotic RWD six cylinder Toyota and the other is a FWD inline four Honda. Of course a Supra is going to out class a Honda, look at the price difference. You are comparing apples and oranges. Honda has a rich history in racing and has used all that experience in their streetcars. When a car company can give the consumer a car that has an engine that can make over 100hp per liter, can go beyond 300,000 miles when properly maintained, and can kick the shit out of the competition, their car can hardly be called shit. Plus a car that has such over whelming aftermarket support just shows how great of a car they are. By looking at that fact alone, it just shows how totally wrong you are. I hope someday that people like you will almost totally disappear. I will never understand why automotive enthusiasts cannot just respect each other. This joke of a website that you have just shows your ignorance. I hope that someday you can loose your single-minded approach on life and recognize that your opinion is not the only one taht counts.

I took a look at that site for the first and last time. Seems like a bunch of insecure idiots bashing this car or that. It would be funny to see one of those whining V8 guys get shamed by a street touring car at an autox though.

It will be interesting to hear what kind of reply, if any, you receive. However, doesn't it make sense that the irrational mentality of the site might correspond to the personality of the author?

For that reason, I try--sometimes not successfully--to guide my response to irrationality by the wisdom of the truths that I want to guide my life. There are some proverbs that come to mind.

"Though you grind a fool in a mortar with a pestle, his folly will not depart from him."
    (Prov. 27:22)

If one studies the word "fool" in the Book of Proverbs, the conclusion at which one arrives seems to counsel us not to answer or argue with those who seem to be entrenched in acting like a fool.

I dont see why people are getting rialed up.
Ok the designer has some problem with honda, fair enough. It seemed that there was more complaints about "ricing" more than anything else.

I must admit I dont like coffee can exhaust tips either, and I literally laugh at stop lights when there is a coffee can car next to me. I also laugh when I see an overabundance of stickers especially when they are stickers of products which arent installed on the vehicle.

I will guess the web page is stored on a hard drive in the USA... free speech baby!

Or, since I tend to be long winded, another way to say it is. . . The Internet is full of this nonsense. It is part of the price we pay in a democracy to have the freedom of speech and a free society. It's better not to waste energy on combatting this kind of site. The site is full of profanity and vulgarity. Better to move on and ignore. It's not worth the effort.

I think the premise of the site is rather stupid. Honda makes some pretty good cars. However, I would like to point out that specific power (hp/l) means almost nothing, it's the power:weight ratio that does. The old adage "horsepower sells cars, torque wins races" also applies.

Still, I won't load up the site even once more. Don't want to give them "web hits".

I agree with you all totaly. I do not plan to further email the person or visit their website for a second time.

This is his what I sent back to him followed to his reply to my original email:

"i hate to tell you, but more people care about mine then yours"
I hate to tell you, but you wrong there buddy, let me refer you to clubsi.com message boards. And you chose to ignore the valid point in my previous email about the large aftermarket support for honda's. BTW have a nice day.

I had to go back once. I saw this post in the "new posts" list again, and thought "What kind of car does he drive, bet it's a Supra." Sure enough, I went back and there it is: Supra owner.

Don't ask me how I knew. There are about 40 long stories regarding Supra owners. SCCAForums Image

Let him have his oppinion and let him be. There are import ppl who slam american cars left and right, I have even seen web pages devoted to this(can't pull em up right now 'cause I can't begin to remember the URL) along with posts on bulletin boards. Like another poster said, its freedom of speech.

    This was his final reply:

of course there is a large aftermarket support, it is "trendy"
    to
have a riced out civic, if you are in high school or college, and the
    older
people do it because they are in mid life crisis and trying to relive
    those
years. like i said, more people see and use my opinion then yours.

A few points, the person that said how much HP/Liter you make doesn't mean much is 100% right, power to weight ratio is more important, and I don't care if Honda makes an engine that makes 1000HP/liter if it's displacent is .1 liters giving you a grand total of 100HP and 17 foot pounds of torque at 17,953 RPM's. Besides the Toyota Celica GTS motor makes 100HP/liter (180HP, 1.8 liters) and puts down more HP to the wheels than an Integra Type R (supposedly 195 HP)

I however totally understand that comparing a Supra to a Honda is dumb, Honda's are econoboxes, not sports cars.

By the way, this guy has the right to bash any car he likes, if you don't like it then stay off his site. Not sure why anyone would go through the trouble of going to a site they hate and then sending the author a nasty email....

Gosh, it's Guilly. There's a Supra owner whose reputation precedes him. Not in a good way.

Please, don't start that crap here.

Shaman, find a website where I have posted anything negative about their own car and you may have a point. The only place where I express my opinion about Supras, or any other cars for that matter, is the Supra forum itself.

BTW your reputation among Supra owners is less than good.... Last I remembered you were getting flamed on a SUPRA FORUM because you were such a Jerk on LS1.com, talking crap about everything from Hondas, to Mustangs, Supras, RX7's and the list goes on, now that takes the cake. Please spare us and keep your issues to yourself.

    trolls.....

Dave, keep an eye on this one.....

I have nothing against any specific car owner.....no matter what car they drive. I just don't understand why people like him go out of their way to be an ass. Besides, if I could afford a Supra or any other car of that caliber I would buy it in a heart beat. SCCAForums Image

Actually, I was being lied about. No other way to put it. I took a look in there about six months ago, and realized once again the kind of people that frequent that board - it has less dignity than shitonhonda.com. Being associated with that board (and especially the owner, Warren) immediately qualifies you as a troll yourself.

I even posted real transcripts from IRC sessions with Warren about his "two 900rwhp supras" to prove the point. Ignored, of course, by the supraforums crowd.

I don't even know you, never met you. I hear lots of things about you, though. Like I said, not good things. SCCAForums Image

If Dave has to keep an eye on anyone, it'd be you, dude. Given a chance, I'll bet you try to turn this into another "Supra is god, everything else is slow and crappy" board.

P.S. Don't bother replying, email me if you want to tough it out with me.

13, we have a really active and really very good Honda club up here in Ontario. Check out their web site:
