Results for the second NASA-Virginia Winter Series event, held on January 13, 2001, are now online at : http://nasaracing.net/autox/jan13_01/

The course was designed by Sam Strano, and was great for all types of cars, not just 2001 F-bodies. SCCAForums Image The weather was absolutely awesome for the middle of January, especially considering we'd just had over two weeks straight of 20 degree highs! Even me, the perpetually cold one, I was walking around without my heavy winter jacket!

Congrats to Tim Aro, the ProKhana winner, for a great drive in his McGeorge Toyota/Rosen Autosport sponsored MR2-Spyder (okay, it's really Eric Peterson's car SCCAForums Image). Strano had to settle for a second place in his Camaro, with the SF Motorsports team members Rob Falkner (SS Porsche Boxster S) and G.H. Sharp (AS Porsche Boxster) taking third and fourth respectively. Sneaking into fifth was the bright red DSP Ford Escort driven by Tidewater's very own Joe Graves.

Special thanks to Mike Snyder and Baltimore's Autocrossers Inc. for lending 90 some cones for one of our best courses ever!

The third and final Winter Series event will be February 11, 2001, and preregistration will open later this week. Bring goodies for the autocross director's birthday. SCCAForums Image

Karen, you forgot to point out the work done by Brian Tiffany. He did a regular work assignment (timing & scoring) for the ENTIRE 2nd heat, AND he took pictures during the ProKhana heat (pics which we will probably send out to various publications like NAP, GRM, etc., as well as using on the NASA web site).

I didn't think it was possible to do a regular work assignment and then take pictures during another heat, but Brian proved me wrong. SCCAForums Image

SCCAForums Image True, true, how could I forget about my former co-driver (from 1999), Brian "I work too hard" Tiffany? He also worked at registration a little bit to help out Aaron Shine (another awesome worker!!), and all this while he was suffering some nasty head cold/sinus headache! Plus, he drove in the fourth heat, and wasn't out to prove that some part of the course was "dangerous"!! SCCAForums Image

Maybe we oughta cross-post this to the "worker assignment" thread on SCCA Help? SCCAForums Image
