Heat 1 on Saturday was apparently running on a wet course, and the AM BBR Shark was somehow were WAY faster than any other cars, so I split off Heat 1 and AM into separate groups for determining top PAX %. Here are the drivers within the top 5% of the top pax within each of the three groups.

It was a thing of beauty.

I think everyone in the second grid stopped whatever they were doing when it came to the line to watch it.

Does this field calculate the index position differently if the car is run in the "wrong" class? For instance, I ended up in Kevin Youngers' DS BMW 330Ci, so I guess my "TRUE_CLASS" would be DS while "CLASS" would be DSP. Would that change how high up I indexed based on your calculations?

    Just wondering.

Yes that's what it does (assuming I know what the true class is ;> ). I'll update the database with your info since I didn't know that when this list was generated. Note however, that the entered class determines the PAX group. You're percent is now 95.7%.

    Uhhh, Jeff
What happened to GSL in your pax calculations? Donna Frank and Donna Marx were both faster than GH Sharp in GS open.
You sure like ignoring the ladies classes????

My guess is that GSL ran all their runs in the dry and were therefore in PAX_GROUP #3, where they didn't make the top 95%. GH ran in the wet on Saturday and was in PAX_GROUP #2 in Jeff's calculations. Just a guess tho...

I'll have to agree with what Mike says -- just because they ran in the complete dry doesn't mean they did better than GH, just that they got lucky in the run/work "draw." And Jeff already pointed out that he separated those with wet runs into "Pax Group 1" and those with all dry runs into "Pax Group 2." If he was ignoring ladies classes, why is Juliann Pokorny listed?
    2 83 78.025 95.0 Juliann Pokorny BSL BS

If there seems to be a dearth of "L" classes in the list, I think it's more a matter of people like Jennifer Merideth, Kathy Fitzpatrick, Kim Bullis and Karen Rafferty running open class this past weekend than any conspiracy to ignore ladies classes on Jeff's part. Kim Bullis (who usually runs ASL) and Diane Lapusnak (FSL) were both in the top 5% of Pax Group 2.

Diane ran open also as Sammy's tire warmer. Who ironically got hotter tires than Sam, due to a very bad split in the 5th heat two driver cars.....

mea culpa! There had been problems with the software skipping the ladies classes previously, should have added a smilie!
Will you be paxing the entire event?

    Hey Jeff,

Would you mind posting indexed results from just Sunday? I was a bit "off" on Saturday.

The forecasting has sometimes been problematic with people jumping between ladies and open classes. I think I've got it fixed so that I treat both versions the same (i.e. how you do in L1 or FS or FSL would be shown in how you might do at a future event in L1 or FS or FSL).

Since I don't get paid to do this, I don't take as much time to make sure I get all the bugs out, so I appreciate the questions/bug reports etc.

But in this case, the others on this thread are correct. Ladies classes weren't systematically removed.. most of the drivers just didn't do well enough.

I haven't got around to having my software automatically post complete NT paxed results like it does for the ProSolos. There's a bunch of stuff I'd love to do... I get around to doing a small percentage of that in spurts. FWIW, I pax all entrants, I just don't post everything. Also, partly I was trying to keep from hurting people who finished poorly by making a deal out of posting entire results. I'd like to eventually get the database on the website and write a query interface so people can lookup whatever they want. I have a database on the webserver, that's the easy part.. a general purpose (though useful for autocrossers) query interface takes quite a bit more time (I've done this commercially for other audiences)

Brian asked for Sunday only results. I decided for this to bring Heat 1 in with all the other heats since the weather was OK for Heat 1.

Not quite following the rationale of not paxing anyone below the top 5% to save them embarassment, all the time and class place results are available online for all to see. The other 75% or so of us might actually better benefit from being able to gauge progress by how we compared event to event, I'd expect the top 5% pretty much know who they are and how they did, they were the ones picking up most of the trophies.

There's a difference between placing 5th out of 5 cars and 300th out of 300 cars.
