These are aluminum racing seats in many different styles. You can get different color seat covers and the prices are comparable with most fiberglass seats.

I need some racing seats pretty soon but I am afraid that I would get tired of driving on them everyday. Does anyone use them everyday? How are they for everyday drive ability?

    Thanks,

Horrible for everyday. And, optimal racing seating position isn't necessarily optimal driving seating position.

And if you ever take a trip longer than an hour, you'll be very, very sorry.

Get some "inbetween" seats. They still offer adjustability and lots of side support. With a fivepoint brace, they will hold you just fine in all but the most extreme G situations.

    Probably depends on the seat.

Last year, my race car got pressed into daily driver duty for about a month. I had a long 1 hour commute to and from work each way. I have also taken some road trips (up to 8 hour drive) without major problems.

I didn't find the seat to be all that bad. The biggest problem was being cold in the morning, since I have no door window glass, and being really hot in the afternoon, since I would get stuck in traffic, and I have no carpet or insulation. At least it only rained twice. SCCAForums Image

I actually kind of liked the seat. When I got my regular car back, I felt like I was driving a bar stool!
