Very sad day, and tough luck for Mikey to finally win with this happening.

Always sad to see such a thing happen.

I saw the replay of the big crash 25 laps prior with cars flipping and getting hit every which way, then his crash. I wouldnt have thought that Dale's crash was that bad by comparing the two.

I was not a big Earnhardt fan but he mad Nascar and he will be truly missed. I was the fan of saying I didn't like him but deep down we all liked him. He brought excitment to Nascar and it will never be the same. It will be hard for me to watch Nascar without seeing Dale in the race.

I am stunned!!! I can only say that I did not appreciate Dales driving style in his early years, But over the last several seasons he drove around people more than through them, and I began to appreciate him much more! The biggest thing I appreciated most was the opportunities he provided for and the belief he had in many other up and coming drivers, who without his support may not have gotten their opportunities. The sport does not have enough men, owner/drivers like him, which makes his loss even that more unfortunate.
I wish Dales family, friends and fans all the best in their time of grief, you are in my heart and thoughts. SCCAForums Image Micheal Waltrip, congratulations you did Dales memory proud hold your head high! He protected you and JR. like a proud pappa! SCCAForums Image
