Looks like we're back at FedEx Field for the April prosolo, at least that's what SCCA.com has listed under the prosolo events. Anyone hear otherwise? Has the surface changed much since 2010 DC Pro?

It will be at Fedex.
I think the surface that was sealed has improved some

It wasn't too bad when its above 75-80 out (and sunny), but it is very very slick when it's cool.....say like early-mid April ;-)

It's gotten a little less greasy than it was the first year after being sealed, but it is still very greasy.
All the same, I'm glad to have a pro back in the region.

I'm kind of partial to the Metlife Stadium (the Meadowlands).
I am perfectly capable of learning from my mistakes. I will surely learn a great deal today.

From 09 to 10, didn't they switch sides of FedEx?
Is it on the 09 side, or the 10 side?

I ran there consecutively from 08 to 10, all pro's have been run on the same exact area of the stadium....

I sent SCCA an email with the question about when registration opens a couple weeks ago, they haven't replied. Since they took away passport priority registration this year I'm moderately worried about not checking on it for a while and then not getting in, so it'd be good if they said when it opens.

Seems like it might be filled.... 251 entries when I checked earlier today.
There should be a real worry regarding the potential for ccccooollllddd weather at the event. I did a little digging through a weather database for the timeframe. Extremes are highs in 40's or 80's, with lows 30 to 50's. A more "average" year means lows around 40-45 with highs in the 60's. I could handle that, I guess. Here are the high and low temps for the middle of April, last 10 years:
2002: April 12 low 46, April 16 high 89 TOASTY!
2003: April 13 low 37, April 16 high 86
2004: April 16 low 34, April 16 high 68, mean temp that week about 50
2005: April 16 low 32. April 14 high 63, mean temp that week under 50 brrr.
2006: April 14 low 52, April 15 high 82 That would be suh-weet!
2007: April 14 low 33, April 14 high 56 Brrrr.... Mean in mid 40's COLD!
2008: April 16 low 33, April 16 high 66, mean temp that week mid 40's COLD!
2009: April 13 low 32, April 16 high 61, mean again mid 40's COLD!
2010: April 15 low 37, April 16 high 84, mean 48 on 13th, and 70 on 16th ??
2011: April 15 low 43, April 14 high 69, mean mid 50's for the week.

The practice day for WDCR last year in early April had snow the night before with temps in the 30's during the day (and windy). It could be very cold or borderline warm....just won't know until pretty close to the event.

Did the number of people registered just drop 20+ people?
