0 Replies and 11 Views 2017 Grid Workers  11  0 Started by  JimL First, I want to thank the 2016 crew for all of the hard work last season. The 2017 season will be on us before we know it, January is almost over already. I will need to add a few members to the grid team this year, we lost a couple team members due to medical issues and some who decided to retire from autocross. So, I am looking for 4 to 5 additional volunteers.  Volunteers will need to be pre-registered on MotorsportsReg. no later than the Thursday morning prior to the event.  Ple...

4 Replies and 336 Views FS: 1970 BMW 2002 SOLD  336  4 Started by  TBernsen SOLD A DRIVING restoration! With regret, I am selling my 1970 BMW 2002.   I have had the car for 7 years.  I autocrossed locally and went to Nationals in 2010.  Since then it has seen limited use and just doesn't get the attention it deserves.  The car is unfinished, but is a turn-key solution for somebody who wants to get out there and drive a super fun car.  2.0 litre M10, 4 speed manual transmission, locked rear differential,  sub 2000lb car :) It would make a great autocross (FSP or EP)...

0 Replies and 77 Views Auto Show / Kart Racing  77  0 Started by  mazdamike I know a lot of you will be headed to the Auto Show later this week; but in case you didn't know,,,, the Gateway Kartplex will again move its outside operations to inside the Dome for the event. Just like last year they will be open during the entire time and be in the Dome proper. They also have some special pricing for the event. Last year it was busy a good deal of the time so I suggest you drop by as soon as you get there if you are interested, and come back later if you think the line is to...

We've had the dates for awhile but withheld posting them pending last night's December SAC meeting. The schedule currently includes ten points events, the novice school and a test and tune at the start of the season to allow us to ops check a new timing and scoring system we are in the process of purchasing. It becomes more difficult every year to get t...

4 Replies and 605 Views Looking for help with post engine swap issues  605  4 Started by  Foonix I swapped a '20v blacktop' into an 85 Corolla GTS using a MegaSquirt with Honda COPs.  I got it running pretty well after the swap but over time it has developed a misfire problem. I'm not sure if it's a problem with my setup or an actual problem with the engine.  The car has been pretty much rotting in my garage for a few year as I've been unable to figure out the problem.  Anyone know a mechanic or shop in the STL area that will not run away screaming  at the idea of workin...

11 Replies and 821 Views Event 10  821  11 Started by  Andy Hohl Congrats to Tyler for his great drive. Very good course Sean, especially with all the logistical issues. The bumps added 'character' and you had to plan your angle approaching them to get speed. On a larger scale, thank you to the SAC for a great season. Also thank you to GAA for their hard work to offer another venue with good events for autocrossers to attend. To all who attended both venues, it was very apparent how hard the staffs worked to give the attendees a great event.
