8 Replies and 585 Views Event 9 discussion  585  8 Started by  Andy Hohl I liked the course for event 9. You had to work to run a good time. The course rewarded placememnt over speed imo. It gave you room and invited you to overdrive, most times you were only hurt by time on the clock. For me, it took things like backsiding the last slalom come in the 5 cone slalom to make the tight left a tiny bit easier. It allowed me to roll the center of that turn a bit better and roll on the power into the walloms a bit earlier. I needed to be on time for the first 3 walloms ...

19 Replies and 756 Views Solo Event 9 Course Challenge!  756  19 Started by  java_osborn Course Challenge: Make a 70 second course at GMP :). If we use the whole course we can grid in the fenced area on the north or the south, then use the whole parking lot.  With the south fenced in area we even keep the trailer off the parking lot.....We could even switch it up and enter the lot on the east side, NOT like normal which is on the west side. Oh and I still like my idea to double use of the same slalom, once going up to the other end, with a turn around and ...

0 Replies and 140 Views MyChron3 XG Log  140  0 Started by  Martinracing98 I am upgrading my gauges to one with GPS built in. I have a MyChron3 XG Log for sale. It has everything but GPS. I purchased it Feb of 2013. Every thing together cost just over $1700 plus tax. If you go to YouTube Martinracing98 channel I have a video of the system. It includes sensors and cables for speed sensor(mag pickup), oil temp, water temp, oil pressure, tach, and wide band O2 sensor. It also has the ability to connect to CAN(ECU) although I never used that feature. Cables for that are in...

1 Replies and 197 Views  197  1 Started by  java_osborn team, we should probably set up an SCCA day where we can get a discount on the cart racing.  I am thinking that if it is not when we have an event there will be a lot of folks that will race. We could set it up that we would have at least x number of races for anyone, have the novices and lower index folks races and the best of them go forwards, etc.  I think as long as we can give novices a minimum runs they will come out to have fun..... Just thinking how we could have...

So, I will start... Not like I am shy :) I really liked the longer course.  I also liked driving where we normally paddock.  The 'Textured' asphalt was sooo grippy I was like no way that won't hold, but it did.  I did like the high speed of the course, but I think we could have used more side to side and made it even longer in length, but that is an art form for sure :). Broken record here, but I drove like a grand pa (I am old, but no grand kids yet :) ).  I think that dri...

I ended up working early today, which gave me time to shoot some photos during heats 1 and 2. A big thanks to Sean Greer for letting me flog the CRX, first time in a prepped FWD car and I must say I was impressed with what the car can do! Wish I could have cleaned it up and found a little more time.

HQ is the Super 8, so get call and get a room if you need one and let them know you're with the rally.  Volunteers are the main reason I'm posting as we always need plenty. All t...
