3 Replies and 438 Views How do I turn an SCCA racecar into a road legal vehicle?  438  3 Started by  Fred Hey guys! I'm new here, and I know you guys usually do the exact opposite of what I'm trying to do, but I figured someone on here might be able to point me in the right direction.... I have an opportunity to buy a very clean 1987 Volkswagen. Its been a track car all of it's life and the current owner has described it as 'Production Racecar' and indicated that it does not have a title (and I would assume no VIN). If I bought it, I would receive the car with a bill of sale and that's it. As much ...

4 Replies and 772 Views Budget for f-street  772  4 Started by  Tim I run in f-street 2014 Mustang 3.7L auto. I plan on getting new tire(Bridgestone) and wheels for this year. Plus I was thinking of adding front sway bar or shocks/struts. Any opinions on which will be more beneficial per cost. I'm also thing of running in STP class which would allow wider wheels and tires. That would put me in a class where more modifications can be made. I plan on only doing tires, shocks/struts and sway bar as money will allow. Would the wider tires be worth moving to a di...

1 Replies and 371 Views Camber Bolt Guidance on 05 STI  371  1 Started by  Katie785 I installed my Whiteline camber bolts (front) last night. I was at first going to put them in the lower strut mount, but to achieve negative camber, the directions say to have the large tab on the washing facing the hub. There is a (knuckle) bolt there that it hits and will not sit flush with the strut mount. Any pros/cons to putting the bolt in the top mount It seems it's not as adjustable then. Safety concerns Possible to just put the bolt in the lower hole, but backwards (meaning put the b...

0 Replies and 360 Views Racing Startup Looking for Your Input  360  0 Started by  vrume.io Hello everyone, We're a group of Carnegie Mellon students that are passionate about racing. We're also disappointed with the current race data analysis tools, resources, and services available on the market today. They're either too expensive, too difficult, or require too much time to find faster lines around the track. Rather than just accept it for what it is, we decided to create a startup called Vrume.io with the intent of providing easy to interpret reports to create faster drivers. We'd ...

0 Replies and 321 Views Drive on San Bernardino   321  0 Started by  raoul Hello Guys, Last September I drove on the San Bernardino Pass in Switzerland and shot a video from the bottom of my front bumper. The video captures the entire pass from south (S. Bernardino, Campeggio) to north (Grossmatta, 7438 Hinterrhein). The pass is quite tough on brakes, be gentle otherwise you might cook your brakes, just as in my case smile. If you have any questions or feedback please leave them in the comment and I should get back to you.  Here is the link to the video: htt...

0 Replies and 351 Views Condo space at Daytona for Rolex 24  351  0 Started by  Jackgstl It's a little late notice but I booked a condo at Daytona beach (on the beach) that I can't use for Friday, Saturday and Sunday night of the Rolex 24 race weekend. I have two choices. I can pay a fee to cancel or see if there are other race fans thinking about heading down. I just have call and change the name. It's a two bedroom on the beach. The cost minus what I would lose to cancel will be around $350. Ps: I have an extra room to the 500 weekend as well but will cost about twice.

Would staggering the front and back help It's on a daily driver so I would be putting them on in April and replacing the with all seasons in October.
