I took a set of 285 Hoosiers to the tire store to have them turned inside out. When I arrived for pick-up they said they needed to show me something they found. One tire had three splits in the sidewall exactly 9 inches apart. I changed the tires at the track and loaded them to take them to the Auto Tire. I may have overlooked it but it seems suspicious to me but I wanted to give the benefit of the doubt first because they would have been on the inside. They had about 35 runs on them and not a problem. Anyone ever have this problem with splitting? Anything Auto Tire could have done to cause this and then corrected their mistake? The other three tires were fine after being turned inside out.
Any help appreciated and contact info for the Hoosier tech guy mentioned in the forums in the past would be good too. Thanks.
