    David Pintaric:

BTW: here is the in-car for your enjoyment...(although I suspect everyone has watched it already...554 views!)

David, please give us an update on how you are feeling physically now a few days later.

This hit takes me back to a similar ride I had with my car at Mid-Ohio during quals in 2003. The top of madness for me. Although my hit was probably half that speed I still have the car and it runs as good as ever so there may be hope yet to salvage it. My racing career would have ended then as well if it were not for the great folks at Toyota. Once I had an assessment of what the car needed they told me to send them the list. A week later I had a pallet of parts at no cost which was basically everything from the drivers cabin forward except for the motor. Probably about 10k in parts alone.

Is there anyone at Dodge running the contingency program that you can call for help?

Maybe the most interesting part of my crash was one of those track photogs happened to catch the whole thing in real time as if he knew is was going to happen.

    Steve,

I think your incident was worse than mine, although my car is probably history. I will know more tomorrow or Friday, but it sure don't look good. Me? Fine as before. Going for a 4-mile run with my daughter in a moment.

Dodge doesn't have a support program from club racing.

I only have one picture of the whole wreck (posted on the production forum site). I know there were several photographs taken, but none have made it way to me. Anyone?

BTW; the youtube site has over 3,000 views. My 15 minutes of fame! Wink

Glad to know you are OK after that impact.  Hope your spirits are up - I think it was a helluva way to avoid needing that "Alternate Shifter" the CRB denied you Wink

Not so sure on that. Your in-car brought back a lot of memories, or at least those few fractions of a second where it was quiet and then I saw sky and ground and sky and ground... well no need to tell you how that felt. I bet you would be surprised to see what the car did from the outside perspective. I know when I first saw my pictures I was totally shocked.

Re: T1 at Nelsons Ledges - Pintaric Crash (update)

    Update:

I was at the body shop this morning delivering parts. The car will likely be finished this coming Friday (June 20th).

With some help from a whole bunch of people from all over the country, Humpy Dumpty is being glued back together again. I have recieved help from so many people, people I did not know before, that it has been quite the experience. Thank you all for your help. I know I cannot menton some names, but rest assured I will not forget.

I now know how Joe Gaudette felt last year when he had his bad experience at Pocono.

Re: T1 at Nelsons Ledges - Pintaric Crash (update)

I'm not a club racer (yet - I'm still trying to convince the wife) but these stories move me.  There's no place I'd rather break down than at an autocross and I'm happy to see that club racers are the same way!

David - there's only one thing left for you to do:  Get back on that horse and make all of your benefactors proud!
