FS: 1997 GMC Yukon SLT Great Tow Vehicle SCCA Member Owned since '98

We have a new tow vehicle now, and thought I would offer this one up on here since after all, it has been OVR Owned almost its entire life. I've had it for over a year, Rich Grunenwald had it from 1998 on, so you can check with him or myself regarding its history all you'd like.

1997 GMC Yukon SLT 2WD (better milage & tow capacity)

    Smokey Caramel in color
    5.7L V8 w/ 3.73 gears.
    Power everything
    Keyless Entry
    Tow package
    Leather Interior [with expected wear]
    Rear A/C w/ controls
Privacy Glass on all but front windows & windshield
    159500 miles

Prior to buying it from Rich, he had the transmission replaced and it carried a warranty with it, if I remember correctly. [never have had any problems with it].

Below is a list of new parts on the truck.

New Tires [Goodyear Wranglers, approx 4000 miles]
New Front Brake Rotors & Ceramic Pads
New Rear Brake Shoes [drums were in fine shape]
    New U-joints on the driveshaft
    New Idler Arm
    New Pitman Arm
New Front Tie Rods [both inner and outer, driver & passenger side]
    New Spark Plugs
    New 8.5mm MSD type wires
    New Distributor Cap
    New Distributor Rotor
    New Air Filter
    New Battery
    New Serpentine Belt
New Monroe Sensatrac Shocks [Front & Rear]
New AirLift Air Bags on rear [for increased load capacity]
Hypertech's new MaxEnergy Power Programmer [only will remain on with full asking price]

The truck runs great, with the milage I colaborated with Rich to know what had and hadn't been done on the truck in awhile. I replaced all the above as precautionary more than necessary. He had towed a large enclosed trailer with it without problem. For those who do not know, I towed an open trailer with race car with out problem.

This site has the comprehensive outside pictures (inside pics to come upon request).

    YUKON SITE

It shows the few scratches, one small surface rust spot, and a few dings on the passenger side, and one on the back door.  Please feel free to ask for additional pictures or questions. Air conditioning blows cold both front and rear, all electrical parts work fine. I cannot think of any concerns I have with this truck or any 'quirks' that do not work.

I have looked over pricing on KBB and NADA. I am asking $5500 for it.

I cannot check the forum during the day so for questions or picture requests, please email me at Brian [at] CRXMotorsports.com or call me day/evening 419.631.3912

    Thanks for looking!

This was my old vehicle and I can attest it was well maintained during the 9 years I had it. Brian is a bit more, let's say, discerning with his vehicles, and he replaced all the stuff that was marginal, cleaned it up, and made a number of improvements. This is a solid tow vehicle that is very nice and suitable for a daily driver.

However, I will not forgive him for taking out the faux sheepskin seat cover I had on the driver's seat. Personally, I thought it added a bit of class and comfort.

Somebody can snag a good deal on a nice, inexpensive tow vehicle.

In today's market that's a good price. If your states allow sales tax credits (you only pay tax on the difference) I'd take it. I've had similar probs selling my suv.
