FS (CT) National Champion Street Mod 2005 EvoVIII RS- SOLD!!!!!!!

Time to sell the Evo and move on to something else.  This is the car that won the Pro solo national championship and Solo National championship in 2007.  Also the Devens National tour this year in SM.  This car was driven to all events, and still has working A/C.  The car could be lighter if you wanted to make it a trailer queen, but is more than capable as it sits.  The following is a quick list of the mods on the car.

2005 Mitsubishi Evo VIII RS with 30K miles, always garaged, never driven in winter weather.

Engine makes 421whp, 398wtq with 100 octane tune.  It could make more with a full race gas tune, but I don't think it needs it.  Engine mods include, but not limited to, FP Evogreen turbo, 3"turbo back stainless lightweight exhaust, HKS cams, ARP head studs, Upgraded intercooler and piping, AMS tuned Aem engine management, and a Tial BOV.

Suspension mods include custom valved Ohlins, completely heim jointed(the really expensive kind that don't make any noise), bump steer, and camber corrected front and rear, and very well sorted.

The only real weight saving items include a 8lb carbon fiber hood, and a lightweight race battery.  The car also comes with a race seat, but I have been running with stock interior.  The car weighed in at 2985 at nationals last year with the stock drivers seat, but the rear seat removed.  The car can easily be at 2900lbs with the race seat, and the a/c removed.

Drivetrain mods include and exedy twin disc clutch, A shepherd built tranny with HKS 4.11 final drive which allows for 74 mph at redline (8000rpm) in 2nd gear.  Also has a Cusco 1.5 way rear differential.

The car comes complete with all the stock parts that came with it, including the original stock geared transmission.  Also in addition to the stock turbo, it comes with a TME makinnen titanium turbo.

All ready to win SM in 2008!

Asking price is $35,000 for everything.  Sounds like a lot, but the price for all the modification would exceed $25,000 if the labor were free.

If I wasn't a sucker for doing things the hard way, I'd buy it :)

I also agree with Rodney, but I'd like to add that someone on the West Coast should buy it....

    Good luck with sale!!

    Do you offer financing?

(I really hope Mark's next project isn't another go at DSP.)

Shurley you could always buy this and then you won't be able to complain about how out classed your Z06 is anymore.

You know this would also make a nice daily driver or a great open track car. No need to autocross it! Big Smile

Good luck with the sale Mark!! I think that is a very good price. For less than the cost of a new, stock EVO someone can buy a very clean, reliable car that is capable of winning a national title. . .

Just look at the success the past BSP Showcase Mitsu EVOs have had in the hands of their new owners. Same deal with this, except in StreetMod. . .

    Mark,

     Good luck with the sale.

However, I would like to present to you an idea I had.

See, about 6 months ago I had purchased a HAMSTER farm in North Carolina, and the business is just taking off now as I am supplying contacts of mine in China with Hamster fur for use in the making of Hamster seat covers.  But  now I have had a change of heart and have become involved with animal rights and no longer wish to be involved with hamster farming.

Would you be willing to consider a trade of your Car for my Hamster farm ?

    Sincerely,

    David Lehman

After a good 5 minutes of laughing, I can finally type a reply.

    Uhhhh.....

I suppose that depends upon how many acres of land come with said farm.  Big Smile

Re: FS (CT) National Champion Street Mod 2005 EvoVIII RS

Alas, one of the economic benefits of hamster farming is that you can fit an obsecene amount of the critters in a very small space.  So sadly, my farm, as it were does not come with much land.

However I am currently in the process of negotiating the sale of all live hamsters to an alternative lifestlye club in San Francisco.  So the land (about the size of a large restroom, may still be available).

    I will keep you informed.

Good Luck again with the sale,

    David

Love this car.  Want a co-driver/car *** for Nats?  I just sold some land and have $25,000 in the bank.  I wish I could sell my dog for the other $10,000.  Wow, wow , wow.

No further issues with bolts missing from the tranny mount?  This is not a dig on Mark (or his attention to detail) my fellow racers, just memories from last year at Nats.  =: )

Well it looks like no nationals for me for sure for this year.  Unfortunately, if no one is interested I may just end up parting it out.
