saw an ad for opti-grip in last sports car, has anyone used it, would it be useful for autocross?

I keep hearing pyrometers need to be used right after the run, before you get to pits. This will give you the chance to glance at it right before the final braking zone, right? Sounds useful to me, wondering if anyone tried it.
and while on the subject of cheap telemetry, has anyone found TMPS data useful for solo, like this Orange kit? It reports pressures and some sort of temperature, I assume it's closer to air temperature than tread temperature, but still something, no? better than nothing, and the TPMS would be useful for daily driving too...
Anyway, if anyone has any experience with either of these, please chime in
