impalanut:Thanks for the input on the battery. I have been running Hoosier 225-45/13 on light (about 8lb) 10" wheels in csp. Since I have a new unmounted set I will probaby use them for now but what is the recommendation for tires in EP. I am not too worried about life of the tire as much as maximizing grip.
I assume that the 225/45-13 Hoosier is a DOT radial, like the A6. As for your 10" wide wheels: 17.4 Wheels regulates wheel width. Any wheel greater than 7" in width and up to 10" in width incurs a 75 lbs weight penalty and wheels greater than 10" in width incur a 150 lbs penalty. Considering the weight penalty and the avialble sizes of slicks, most EP CRXs are running 13x7 wheels with cantilever slicks in either 20x8x13 or 20x9.5x13. You would want to use one of the softer compounds available. For Hoosier its the R25A or R35.
