I've got an opportunity to buy some at a good deal and I'm wondering if they'll be worth it.

They'll be used mainly for Lapping Days at Miller Motorsports Park.  I've previously used the V710's which have worked well.  Lots of grip, lasted a surprisingly long time and performed well in the 100+deg heat, falling off only the last lap or two of a 20min session.

How do they compare to V710's?  Close enough to justify buying them, or should I stick with my Advan Neova's?

They are more comparable to Victoracers, not V710's. They will be in between streets and modern race tires in raw speed. C70's should wear well, C50's will wear faster.

 

They are on clearance because they haven't been made for a while. Going rate would be <$75 each for 15" sizes.

Agree with comment that Z211's are more akin to Victoracers than 710s, but the comment on compounds for the Hankooks is incorrect. 

C30--Hard Compound

C50-Med Compound

C70-Soft Compound

 Since OP wanted track event tires, recommend the C50s or C30s for best results.  Most of the leftover Z211s seem to be C30s.  Good tires at a great price.

So, Allen suggested the Z211 is between a street tire and an race tire...is that top model race tire?  As in will these be signifigantly faster than say Dunlop Star Specs?
