This will be my first time at this site. I'm staying at a hotel on base. Is there food there? Can I order in pizza? Beer? I hope to get there friday morning put on the race tires and leave them on till I head for home sunday.
You'll have to drive from where the event is to the hotel. It is not across the parking lot or anything, its a few miles drive. I'm sure the pizza places in Peru (i know there was a Papa Johns at one time) will deliver to the Grissom Inn. Like Alan said, there is a mom/pop restaurant across from the site entrance off of the main highway. There is also a Subway inside the gas station just south of the site.

Also whats the low down on the test n tune? How much does it cost, and can i just pay when i get there? I'm guessing that it is just a short course set up to feel out the surface, and then after the test n tune they set up the event course.
Its $3/run or 4 for $10 if I remember correctly. No pre-registration, just show up to buy your tickets and get your work assignment. Ticket sales start at 10am and end at 2pm. The actually testing time starts at 11am and ends at 3pm.
It is usually a 25-35 second course. Most of the time, the Tour course is already set-up and they tear down the area used for the test course.
