I just recently had a chance to be close by to this regions SCCA Autox event so i decided to participate and i brought my first timer buddie of mine along with me. This was done in the parking lot outside of the Nashville super-speedway. It was a great course design and we all got 7 runs. I also nearly died that day thanks to an oversteering camaro who could not seem to find the brake pedal. I was working at station 2 when a camaro oversteered out of the slalome and as i ran for my dear life he flew passed me within in a couple of feet then smacked into a light pole. I was not the only one running for my life there were two others in the flight path. No one was hurt but the guys camaro was damaged. Thats not all either, we also had an S2000 (not mine) to blow his differential and a mazda mita oversteer into a fence. It was hot and humid, i got sunburned as usual, my tires held great, my buddie did not break my car, i lived on to see another day, all an all it was definitly a well put on event and everyone was really helpful and friendly.
So here is a two part video with my friend first and me second. There was about a second difference between his and my run. He did very well just not well enough to beat me lol... yet it was his first time. I still have much to learn.
