I'll be there provided I find someone with tools to help me out with changing my transmission, diff, and brake fluid... and my pads... and I get an alignment. Seriously though, if someone's in the starkville area and would let me borrow a few tools and give me a hand, I gots da monies to pay for the services. If I make it out, I'll be a dd from jake and rip's if needed.

the best part about jake and rips is the blurry drunk drive across highway 8 to the hotel

Where are you located? Jackson?  If so I am pretty handy with a wrench.  Pulled my trans a few weeks ago.

It's a heck of a lot more fun to walk across 8...

Still haven't decided about making it to Grenada yet, guess it'll depend on getting the formula car back together...

    preston,

gimme a call when you get back in town (I won't be back until a week from tomorrow). We'll get you hooked up. You may have to supply drew with some beer for the use of some tools tho.

Good deal. I don't get back from baton rouge for another 12 days, so it'll be a while. Yes, cash and beer will definitely be given for any help. I just don't feel like paying some sleezy mechanic 85 bucks an hour when I could pay some friends to help me and learn to do it myself at the same time.

"learn how to do it myself".

Besides learning how to do your own maintenance, you'll soon learn another lesson -------.

there's lot's of friendly folks in MSSCCA who will happily loan you tools, show you how to do the repairs, drink your beer, take your money ----- hopefully you'll realize that the beer/money part comes near the completion of the project -------.

    Re: Grenada, August 16-17

I got plenty of tools if you need any.  I have not aligned an STI before, but it prob wont be to bad.

S2000 alignments are horrible.  There are two eccentric bolts in the rear for the camber and toe.  To adjust camber you turn the front eccentric.  To adjust the toe you have to rotate the front and rear eccentric in opposite directions at the same time.  If they are not done at the same time it throws out the camber and you have to start all over.Tongue Tied

I plan on coming the event, however i will be on call and may need to abruptly leave and travel to back to columbus at a very fast speed.  That will be the first of the two weeks the doctors gave us for possible delivery.

I hear ya, always good to get some practice.  We will see about the money situation coming up, just dropped $300 on dog.  It is still 3 weeks away.  Maybe a swapped run or two would entice me a little more.
