    Roll call: XP @ Nationals

I know we are a few weeks out from the late fees for nationals, but the low number of entries in XP is making me a bit nervous.  The OrangeVette is alive and well (finally), we will both be there; who else is going?

John and I will be there in the Miata.  Cool

p.s.  Hey Joe, my car currently has a hole in the side of the block and a piston that split in half - but we'll still be at Nationals.  Get that car fixed and join us in Topeka!

There may be a 24XX pound EVO in XP this year. Only time will tell if he registers . . .

Steve, my engine is thinly scattered all over my work bench.  Check book says  double zero's  and I got holes that big in my race tires. Stick out tongue

This wouldn't be the same one that is already registered in FP would it? Mark Berry and son?

I'll find out this weekend how fast they are at the FW Div...

Unfortunately, the SC Miata (Glenn Ellingson's car) that we ran at the SD Tour isn't going to make it...I think we might have had something to bring to the party...Smile

I just signed up in the McKee RX-7.  Probably well underprepared for XP but will be fun.

    Re: Calling all XP cars!

Well I am pulling my RX7 out of the class this year as it is not ready yet and I will be running in Amod with my other car.  I really wanted to make it happen but there is just too much that I need to do to get the Rex back into full competition mode again.  It will be here next year.

And Andy's car is more than capable of running with the Prepared croud at Heartland Park and may actually have some advantages.  Good luck to all, I wish I could run with you.

Vulturing in McKee's car eh?  Well if it helps make Andy's decision easier.  I'll be happy to share my ChaseCam video with him from Tuesday and Wednesday so he doesn't have to risk breaking his car!  :-)  I'll be there with less power than last year, but I am hoping the car actually turns which should be a switch from last year!

I don't think that is the intention of this exercise.  Thanks for reminding him about the "breaking" risk.  Hopefully 6 runs on asphalt won't do any damage.

Sorry to hear Steve, hope to see it out next year.  The vette decided to make it difficult by eating a piston a couple of weeks ago, so thrashing to get a replacement short block in this weekend.    Hope to get done in time to shakeout at the practice on Sun.

FYI, it looks like I will be announcing for you folks, so if there's any dirt you want to spill about your competitors, I'm all ears.  Should be an entertaining time for all.

Best of luck to each of you!

Re: Roll call: XP @ Nationals

OK, so lets go from "roll call" to "excuses"... Stick out tongue This pretty much sums up my 2007 Nationals.

The ABS on our E36 LS1 car wasn't working at all and kept locking the fronts whenever the car needed to slow down quickly. I ended up making one tip-toe run each day to get a clean time in. Still had a blast! It was nice to meet you guys.

Get a little Captain in ya!

http://vorshlag.smugmug.com/gallery/5983580_HQJDk - lots more pics of all of the XP racers in action are located there. Feel free to copy/steal/repost. The full size pictures are there too, "huge by huge".

It was nice meeting all of you guys. See ya there again next year!
