The SCCA National office has commissioned a design for a new, dedicated ProSolo logo which will debut next week at the Finale. 

SCCAGear will have a selection of t-shirts, hats and polo shirts with the new logo.  We will also be able to take orders for putting the logo on other items.  We will be open from mid day Thursday until Friday the 19th at the event site and will also be in attendance at both the Pro Solo and Nationals banquets for your shopping pleasure.

We just got the Polo shirts in from the embroiderer and they are really nice looking.  The t's and hats will be here any day and they should be cool as well...

Are they/you using the same game plan as Speedvision in the early years? They religiously guarded and hats shirts and other stuff with the Speedvision logo, to the point someone nearly was fired for giving a hat to a guy at a local deli. I had to beg, borrow and steal to get my first hat (after almost a year of working in their bradcast ops).

Do you actually think someone is gpoing to lift the logo and have it embroddered on a shirt? Sorry, I slipped into rant mode, but this MO of the Secret Car Club drives me nutz (not that I have far to go).

I believe what Dave is doing is called a "teaser" in marketing-speak.  I guess you don't like to be teased.

I thought it was a good idea to have Pro Solo dedicated stuff.  At the same time, Howard was getting a logo redesigned/created.  We thought it would be cool to "debut" it at Nationals, you know, when the stuff will be ready for sale.

If someone steals the logo and has it embroidered themselves, it would be a bad move.  I have to pay SCCA a pretty hefty sum for the exclusive rights to sell SCCA branded items and wouldn't take such a violation lightly. 

The border is only on the embroidered version and won't be on the screen prints.

FOr those of you looking for some comprehensive marketing strategy and plan, you are barking up the wrong tree expecting that from the apparel provider.  I can provide the marketing plan for selling for hats and shirts, but everything else is SCCA's issue, not mine. :)

Sorry, Dave. That's why I had the rant mode disclaimer at the end. I figured you had your hands tied. I did not know you were lovlingly holding them with Howard.  They gave my dad lithium 40 years ago..... see it is a family of nutz®.

It was only recently that the Nationals logos were released any time prior to the event.

Ahhhh...it kinda is.  :)

I don't like the course. Can I complain about the 2 90 degree corners at the end of the start straights. I think it's really gonna favor smaller cars.

J/K I like it, I'll be shoppin' when I get there.

We made some adjustments to the digitzing to allow the same thread color on all color shirts/hats, but the early ones got through with the alternate color.  Those will be like "inverted Jenny" stamps, we won't charge any more for them, but the resale will be huge...:)   Screen prints and hats all have yellow on the lights.

I don't know if they did stickers or not.  I think the plan was to do them, but not sure if that happened yet or not, we don't do stickers for SCCA.

Yeah, but I don't see any turns in that logo.  It just looks like a drag strip.
