Kudos to Mike King on his repeat Nats performance.

Congrats to Mike for showing all of us the quick way around both courses.  His is truly a class act, and he proved to the STS 2 autox community that last year's win was no fluke.  And, he did in in a lowly fwd car!  Way to go Mike!Yes

Re: Kudos to Mike King on his repeat Nats performance.

Completely agree on how class act he is.  Mike you've been a great help to me in further developing my car this year and I again want to thank you for that.  I also had a blast hanging out with you, Darrin, and the rest of the Florida crew all week.  You truly made the week one I'll never forget.

Congrats again on a well earned and deserved National Championship and I look forward to beating er running against you next year as well.

On another note, Ian Baker, thanks again for all the help you gave me this week as well.  I definitely wouldn't have been in the hunt without your help.

I think I can speak for a lot of people when I say you truly are a great friend and an inspiration to all with your hard work and determination you give to others as well as the solo community.

This year has been the best yet to be a competitor in STS2.  As long as this class exists, I could just about say that I'd stay in this class for a long, long time.  It's with the great friends I have and the ones I've made along the way that have made this one of the best classes the SCCA has to offer.  The comraderie is top notch and the competition is so full of talent that a hard earned 3rd place is ALMOST as good as winning a championship.

Everyone is super friendly and way beyond helpful and everyone deserves that credit!

Thanks again and I look forward to seeing you all again real soon!!

I might be breaking a confidence here.

But I have genuine 1st hand inside information that someone might have tried to intentionally drop weight before nationals.

Sorry to do this to you buddy, but didn't you say you were constipated like the week before in KC, and didn't you tell everyone you took a enema to try and relieve yourself.

    BUSTED !

wait.......wait.......if my memory serves me right actually it was me with the enema.....nevermind

Re: Kudos to Mike King on his repeat Nats performance.

As much fun as it is to give the King of Queens a hard time, I think I owe him the biggest thanks......

He allowed me to co-drive his car for Christ sake.. Stick out tongue

We had a great time...the best time for me for lots of reasons...I got my first nationals trophy...my first (and hopefully last) sacrifice... Party!!!

It was nice to finally be in a comfortable situation at Nats..not showing in an unprepared car or having to drive someone elses car... (big thanks to Ian for last years co-drive btw Wink )

Thanks again Mike...for everything...I really do appreciate it....

    Congrats Mike "King of Queens".

I had a blast and you guys are the jit!!!

With all the night activities it's hard to believe there was actually racing going on.

For my first year of autoxing, it has been an awesome experience and spending the nats with y'all has certainley been the best yet.... by far!!!

I can't wait till next year and I'll be bringing the shelby, and hopefully I can wear a headband like Scotts! hehehe.

Darrin, thanks again for the co-drive and showing me around Topeka.

    See you all soon.

since you brought it up, don't keep us hanging, could we have a little more detail on the enema, how many people were their, who were they, what type of liquid did you use, was this in preperation for a colonospy or just for fun

Congrats Mike on your perfomance all year long and at Nationals.  Didn't know Mike before Nationals, just the rumors and the legends.  LOL  And thanks for organizing the poker night, Mike!

The Snyders and Ian I know to be excellent folks, and Mike too.  Sounds like another great class, like ES.

Re: Kudos to Mike King on his repeat Nats performance.

Dammit guys...I just left to go to lunch and I couldn't get my head through the door....lol! Wow, thanks to everyone out there. Truthfully, all you guys are the best! Showing up to these events is like a family reunion where everyone doesn't see each other in the longest time but can pick up and keep talking to each other just as we had been talking earlier that same day. Honestly, I've always said, I value the camaraderie more than I do the autocrossing...go figure. Without all my friends, the autocrossing just wouldn't be worth it. It would feel like work..haha. To all my fellow STS2 guys (and girls), you guys have been my favorite, most enjoyable class I have run with in my almost 20 years of autocrossing. I hope to be back next year to kick all your asses again! Party!!! Lol...j/k. We'll see....

    Thanks!!!

    Mike King

P.S. Now to go pull my valve cover...lol.
