Well, thanks to some friends offering up the chance to test drive one of their shifter karts, it looks like the
miniature world of karting is headed our way. So, up for sale
is a great little DSP E30 325is. It's a very reliable car that is
proven to be competitive at locals, Pro's and Tours. As it sits it
could trophy at the Nationals. This ...

I'm without my tow vehicle the week of the two Atlanta Events (Pro/Tour), my wife has a big horse show in Kentucky and needs to haul the horses there Is there anyone making their way through St. Louis on the way to Atlanta that might be able to haul some tires there and back? I'll even chip in some gas money if there is someone who can do ...

Unfortunately I can't embed the new Flickr video, here's a direct link. Let me know what you think of the PIP format ...

for sale, asking $14,500
2004 Mazda RX-8 Touring, 53,000 miles on the clock, 6-speed.
It's not the stripper base model so it has goodies handy off the track: HID headlights, foglights, Bose, moonroof, HomeLink autodimming mirror, stability control (DSC), and traction control. However, it's not the Grand Touring model either so isn't weighed ...

Today I went to Lynch Hummer here in Chesterfield, MO and test drove a black 2004 Corvette Z06. I forgot how much fun those cars are, last year I drove Krekeler's car at our last Autocross event of the season. You can see some of those runs in the videos below. I got to meet Jim Lynch, the owner, and a fellow SCCA Member. He's headed off to the ...

I think I got some of the ''Sample'' shots (showing how the ''processed'' shots look after cropping, enlarging, density and color corrected, sharpened) mixed up ... it's been a long day:Day 2, Wed: http://public.fotki.com/makofoto/2007-solo-solo-2-au/day-1/Day 3, ...

My 205/50R15 Falkens weren't up to the challenge of running against R-Compounds at Grissom this weekend. Competition at divisional solo events is never predictable. Seeing that the other drivers had R-compounds I wasn’t expect to even match their times. I was surprised when I received my Sportscar that the winner in my class, Jack Burns and his ...

Good news for me! After taking a year off of Nationals in 2006 I'm once again headed to Topeka for a week in September! I registered this morning in CStock in a 2007 Pontiac Solstice! The Collins have asked me to codrive this year in Topeka, a great honor for me to be asked. Bud was also mentioned as a contender for the CS National Championship so ...

Car preparation for this event was limited to removing the trailer hitch and cutting the muffler off the car. The latter caused the engine to run quite poorly under 2,000 rpm--a situation that has yet to be corrected. This combined with an obviously failing clutch gave me some apprehension before the event. The apprehension was mostly for naught as ...

Car is/was getting prepped for STX. At this time I'm trying to get it as close to stock as possible prior to sale. This would make an outstanding GStock car next year if you're willing to do a small amount of work to the car.. and with the MCS potentially moving to DS, this will likely be the car to have in class.
The car has a ...

The car has been performing excellently. What a strange feeling to hold FTD for a while! No big changes to the coupe's setup. I did an engine flush/Marvel Mystery Oil piston soak/filter and oil change last week. I switched from the Shell Rotella 5W40 to some Mobile 1 10W40. The middle plugs were covered with oil when I pulled them, which is ...

I finally got out to one of these. I had signed up for last year’s Cone Clinic in Peru but wasn’t able to attend. I had some unexpected vacation time, so I took work off Friday and a half-day on Thursday and booked a hotel room for my wife and I.All of my Saturns use oil rapidly, and I had planned to bring a quart of Shell Rotella 5W40 Synthetic ...

1991 right hand drive hartop mr2 powered by a 3sge motor. Car has 81,006 miles, Car is under my name but not street legal in California, I was Driving Car on Temporary Permits. This would be for someone who can maybe legalize this in another state, Or have this for track or show. Because this car has a 3sge motor it seems to have the ...

I'm hearing pretty good things about these tires in comparison with the R1 Hoosiers...equal or better grip, grip at colder temps, less sensitive to angle, much more durable, etc. I have not seen anything on these in autox, though. Hoosier R6 is a decent autox tire..wondering how these compare. Any feedback?

I really haven’t done any work on the SC2 for a while. Since there is a lull in the local autocross schedule I looked on the myautoevents website for slightly farther away events. In the past I have run events with the South Bend and Indiana Northwest regions of the SCCA. These are normally smaller events much like our local West Michigan ...

On Sunday, I wake up early, pack myself a small lunch and head down US-131 towards Martin, Michigan. The sky had been clear when I had left but now it keeps getting darker and rain begins falling as I drive through Grand Rapids. A blue 1999 Pontiac Grand Prix passes me driven by Furrin’ Group Speed Chair, Curt Rosentengel. Curt pretty much single ...

I want to install a high flow cat in my EVO IX and the O2 sensor is located in the middle of the cat. Can I move the O2 sensor to the IP pipe? I can’t find anything in the rules on this.

My wife and I leave the girls with my parents and head across I-96 towards Detroit. The DTE Energy Music Theater is located in a northern suburb so we actually headed towards Flint from Lansing on I-69 and then get on I-75 south to Clarkston. We get off the highway and stop at a gas station where I use some 2”-wide white duct tape to put on my ...

The 205/50R15 Falken Azenis RT-615s have been sitting in the basement for several months waiting to be mounted to some rims. There are quite a few options for lightweight rims in the stock 15x6” size. I am not currently ready to spend $300 a piece on the 8 lbs SSRs, but I did look at getting some used Miata rims. Those seem to be at least $300 ...
