  • Cleaning up the passenger floorboard

I spent some time this evening cleaning up the passenger floorboard. I have a LOT of welding to do there! I'm going to do some more practicing tomorrow. To view tonight's video click the link below http://www.project240z.com/tabid/54/itemid/20/Cleaning-up-the-Passenger-Floor.aspx

  • My Motivation

I was digging through some old photos tonight looking for photos of Jeff Krekeler, when I ran across this photo I took back in June of 2004.   When I get bored, lazy, or tired of working on the Project240z, I only have to look at that photo and realize what I'm striving for. That car is beautiful, and I hope my car can one day look ...

  • Seat modifications?

I believe that I'm reading in the rulebook that Seat Tracks are unlimited, but I'm guessing that seat mounts must remain stock? I'm trying to figure out what my seat options are for the 240Z. I'd love to cut out the seat mounts and make new ones, but I doubt these are considered part of the tracks, is that a safe assumption? That I'm stuck with ...

  • Project240Z.com Buildup for SM2

I've been updating my www.Project240z.com website as I've started working on the cars again. This weekend with the help of a buddy I got the motor/transmission pulled from the parts car. Now I've just gotta get it the rest of the things i need off the parts car so I can get it out of the garage and bring the 240z home from storage. Check out the ...

  • New URL for the Project 240Z

I may not have worked on either of the cars lately, but I didn take a few minutes and purchase yet ANOTHER domain name! http://www.project240z.com I hope to actually track the project's status over there with a place to feature all the videos and other information about the car.

  • Re: Build my SM2 Car

This is a friend of mine's latest Z. He isn't called Turbo Tom for nothing. Here are some stats on the car:Conservative 410 RWHP, expects to make 520+ once the final tune is done2430 lbs with driver and full fuel.Huge Brakes with Wilwood calipers (14'' I beleive) Even compared to his 480 RWHP 300ZX, this thing is a monster. The car was mostly ...

  • Project 240Z - Starting on the Parts Car

I got started on the parts car this week, a 78 280Z 2+2. Yesterday I put in about an hour's work in on the car, it may not seem like much, but between that hour and the hour I spent on Sunday, that's 2 hours this week, prior to this week I hadn't put more than 2 minutes in over two months. So yesterday I started disassembling the ...

  • Re: SM2'ers, where are you?

sm2dan: I'm in the process of building a car.  Will it be nationally top level competitive against the current crop?  Who knows.  I have no idea, but i know my fight will be huge the longer I give Erik and Andy to continue building their 7s.  But i'm not scared, I won't jump to XP or to a stock class, i love SM2 ...
